Hospitality software your staff stop working around

The booking engine is rarely the problem. The problem is the eleven small handoffs between an enquiry and a guest holding a key. Each one is done by hand today.

What makes hospitality different

5 things that decide this

  1. 01The guest journey crosses more systems than any other part of the business. TomoDomo runs application, booking, onboarding and move-in through one platform, so nobody rekeys a guest into the next tool.
  2. 02Personal service is usually assumed to cap growth. Go Real Travel reported 60% less itinerary planning time after we automated around its human planners rather than replacing them.
  3. 03Multi-property operations break on staff, not on rooms. Permissions have to follow the person as they move between sites, or every building ends up with its own spreadsheet again.
  4. 04Language is an operational requirement, not a nice touch. TomoDomo sends guest updates in English and German, and getting that wrong reaches a guest directly.
  5. 05Guests travel, so the software has to work badly-connected. Go Real Travel's companion app holds daily checklists and tickets offline, because a traveller abroad may have no usable data.
The real problem

The gaps between systems are where service dies

Ask where a hospitality team loses time and nobody says the booking form. They say the part after it. Confirming, chasing a document, allocating a room, arranging access, sending the reminder that stops a guest arriving to a locked door.

Each step is small, and each lives in a different tool. A person carries the guest from one to the next. That works until the day it does not. The guest sees the failure before your dashboard does.

So we build the journey as one record. On TomoDomo an application moves through to a booked room without anyone retyping it, and the checklists, access setup and reminders run on their own. Staff spend their attention on the guest instead of on the handover.

  • 01Count the tools a single guest passes through. That number is your project.
  • 02Automate the reminder before the report. One stops a bad arrival. The other just describes it.
  • 03Make the guest record the thing that moves, so no step needs a person to copy it forward.
  • 04Name the person who owns a stuck booking. Software routes it; someone still has to want it.

The guest journey as one recordLive
  1. EnquiryArrives from anywhere. Lands in one place.
  2. QualifyScreening and documents, tracked.
  3. BookRoom, dates and payment together.
  4. ArriveChecklists ran. The guest is expected.
  5. StayMaintenance and requests in their own words.
  6. ReturnWhat you learned, kept for next time.

Most systems own two or three of these and hand the rest to a person. Every handover is a place a guest gets forgotten on a busy Friday.

Where we are useful

Multi-property operations

TomoDomo runs residents, rooms, bookings, payments and maintenance across Swiss cities from one dashboard, with role-based access for staff and residents.

Automated guest journeys

Application through booking, onboarding and move-in, with pre-arrival checklists, room access setup and reminders running unattended. Editable email updates in English and German.

Concierge at scale

Go Real Travel pairs human planners with an itinerary builder, live pricing and a personalisation engine. A small team covers 41+ European destinations without adding staff for each one.

Travel apps that work offline

A mobile companion holding daily checklists, stored tickets and alerts, built for a traveller with no reliable connection. Support and emergency escalation run behind it.

The objection worth taking seriously

Automation is supposed to ruin hospitality. Here is the line

Guests do not resent automation. They resent being handled by it at the moment they wanted a person. A good build knows the difference. A cheap one does not.

Automate the parts a guest experiences as friction. Confirmations, reminders, document collection, access instructions. Nobody has ever wanted a warmer human touch on a check-in reminder.

Keep people on the parts they are actually better at. Go Real Travel still plans trips with human expertise. What changed is that planners stopped spending their day assembling logistics, which is where the 60% came from.

  • Automate the routine, and pass the odd case to a named person fast.
  • A guest should always be able to reach someone without hunting for the route.
  • Personalisation is a memory of the last stay. A first name in a subject line is not.
A client, in their own words

They really help you understand the problem and deliver solutions in a short time frame.

Questions, answered

Questions buyers ask us first

01Can we run several properties from one system without losing local control?

Yes, and that is exactly what TomoDomo needed across Swiss cities. One dashboard holds residents, rooms, bookings, payments and maintenance, while role-based access decides what each site's staff can change. Decide which choices are central and which are local. Settle that before the build, not during it.

02Will automation make our service feel impersonal?

Only if you automate the wrong half. Confirmations, reminders, document chasing and access instructions are friction, and a guest is happier when they run instantly. Go Real Travel kept human planners and still cut itinerary planning time by 60%, because the planners stopped assembling logistics by hand.

03How do you handle guests in several languages?

Treat language as part of the guest record rather than a template setting. TomoDomo sends editable updates in English and German, chosen per guest. Your staff must be able to fix those messages without a developer. A booking note with a mistake in it reaches the guest before anyone notices.

04What happens when a traveller has no signal abroad?

Their essentials have to already be on the device. The Go Real Travel companion app holds daily checklists and stored tickets offline, so a traveller landing without usable data still knows where to go. Anything a guest needs at the moment of arrival should never depend on a live request.

05Do you connect to booking channels and travel agents?

We integrate with the payment, calendar, signing and accounting systems around a booking. For channel and distribution work, ask any vendor to name the channel they connected to and the year. Connectors age badly, and a certification from four years ago tells you little about today's interface.

06How do you scope a hospitality build?

Scoping calls are free. Where the work starts inside your existing codebase, there is a paid two-week diagnostic ending in a fixed price rather than a range. The first thing we map is every tool a single guest passes through, because that count usually is the project.
