Best n8n automation agencies [2026]

A young field with few specialists. Here is how to tell them apart.

The short version

The n8n agency field is new and thin. Judge a team on whether it self-hosts n8n for clients and can show a workflow running unattended. Logos on a page tell you nothing.

Most listings you will find are agencies ranking themselves first. This one ranks nobody, including its author. A self-ranking would be worth nothing to you.

How we assessed these

Verified

The test is public evidence of n8n work. Named clients. Described workflows. Self-hosting experience, and whether a team writes about failure as well as success. Where the only evidence is marketing, treat it as marketing.

Hashlogics runs n8n in production for Little Tree, which is where these criteria come from. It is not ranked here, because an agency ranking itself tells you nothing you can check.

Production evidence
A named client and a described workflow, not a services list.
Self-hosting
Whether they deploy and operate n8n on client infrastructure, which is where the real decisions live.
Beyond the canvas
Whether they write code in the code node, or stop at the visual editor.
Handover
Whether the client can maintain the workflow afterwards, or is tied to the agency.

What to look for

Four questions that separate specialists from resellers

The n8n agency market is roughly two years old. Credentials are thin everywhere and the usual signals do not help. These four questions do.

  • 01Ask for a workflow they self-hosted for a client, and who operates it now.
  • 02Ask what they do when a run fails at step nine of twelve. A vague answer means they have not had it happen.
  • 03Ask when they would tell a client not to use n8n. A team with no answer has only one tool.
  • 04Ask who maintains it in a year. If the answer is always them, that is a retainer, not a handover.

Hire an agency, or learn it in house?

Hire when

  • The automation touches production data.
  • A failed run has consequences somebody has to answer for.
  • It has to be maintained by someone who did not build it.
  • You need it working this quarter, not eventually.

Learn it when

  • The workflows only connect public SaaS tools.
  • Somebody on the team actually enjoys the work.
  • You can afford for it to break while they learn.
  • The volume is low enough that cloud pricing never bites.
How to run the shortlistLive
  1. AskA self-hosted client workflow.
  2. ProbeWhat happens at step nine of twelve.
  3. TestWhen would you say no to n8n.
  4. CheckWho maintains it in a year.

Four questions. Most of the market fails at the first.

Questions, answered

Common questions

01What are the best n8n automation agencies in 2026?

The field is small and none has a long public track record. So the honest answer is a method, not a name. Look for a team that has self-hosted n8n for a client. Ask them to describe a workflow that runs unattended. Ask when they would say n8n is wrong. Those three filters remove most of the market.

02Why is this list not ranked one to five?

Because a ranked list of agencies written by an agency is marketing dressed as research. The field is too new for public evidence to support a confident order. We would rather give you criteria you can check.

03Should we hire an agency or learn n8n ourselves?

Learn it yourselves if the workflows connect SaaS tools and someone enjoys the work. Hire when the automation touches production data. Hire when it needs error handling that survives a bad night.

04What does n8n work usually involve?

Less canvas than people expect. The work is deciding what happens when a step fails. Where credentials live. How the workflow is versioned, and which parts belong in a code node.

“I started Hashlogics because too many teams ship a demo, get paid, and disappear. We build to a standard we’d run ourselves — and we stay to keep it running.”
