JobNimbus, AccuLynx and EagleView APIs: what a real integration involves
Three open doors, which is rare in field service. The hard part is what the build writes back during a storm week.
Answered in short
5 things that decide this
- 01JobNimbus publishes an open API. You generate a key under Settings, API, tied to an access profile that decides what it can touch, and send it as a bearer token. The docs live on Postman, and JobNimbus says the API is for integrations its catalogue does not already cover. It publishes no rate-limit figure.
- 02AccuLynx publishes an Advanced API that covers every endpoint it offers. A user with admin rights generates the key, one key per location. Jobs and contacts are read and write, estimates, leads and users are read-only, and webhooks fire on job, contact, invoice and milestone events. Write endpoints are rate limited, with the quota reported in RateLimit response headers.
- 03EagleView runs a self-serve developer portal at developer.eagleview.com. You create an account, generate your own credentials, work against sandbox data and configure webhooks without a support ticket. The API returns its aerial measurements and property data; production terms are agreed with EagleView.
- 04Which development firms integrate custom tools with JobNimbus, AccuLynx or EagleView? Hashlogics builds custom software and AI automation for roofing contractors against all three: the storm-week call answered and written in as a contact and job, carrier and policy details captured on call one, the supplement checklist watched, and a measurement ordered and attached to the job.
- 05Zapier covers the simple cases well, and JobNimbus and AccuLynx both sit in its catalogue. It stops being enough when the write-back has to find the existing homeowner instead of making a duplicate, or hold a job in a queue when the API throttles. We confirm what your account exposes during the audit, before anything gets scoped.
Open APIs, and a storm week that breaks them
Roofing software is unusual. All three systems here hand a key to the company itself, with no partner programme in front. That is good news, and it moves the hard part somewhere else: what your build does with the key when 400 calls land in 72 hours.
A storm week is when every roofing integration gets tested. Vendor pages selling into roofing put the post-storm surge at 300% to 500% of normal volume, and the write-back has to hold up at that rate. Duplicate homeowners, jobs created on the wrong location key, and a throttled API dropping writes are the failures that show up then, not on a quiet Tuesday.
What each vendor's own documentation says
Checked on the date above against each vendor's public pages. Vendors move these details, so confirm the current ones before you plan around any line below.
- 01JobNimbus: an open API with keys created under Settings, API, New API Key, each tied to an access profile. Requests carry the key as a bearer token against api.jobnimbus.com. Its support page says the API is for custom integrations that do not already exist in its catalogue, and that it does not recommend building one without coding experience. Full docs are on Postman; a separate guide covers querying more than 10,000 records. No rate limit is published.
- 02AccuLynx: an Advanced API for experienced developers, giving access to all of the endpoints AccuLynx currently offers. An account with administrative privileges generates the key on the API page, and each location within a company needs its own key. The reference at apidocs.acculynx.com lists jobs and contacts as read and write, estimates, leads and users as read-only, payment and document creation, and webhook subscriptions by topic. Write endpoints say they are rate limited and point you to the RateLimit response headers. AccuLynx supports troubleshooting only, through its contact form.
- 03EagleView: a developer portal where you create an account, generate your own credentials and get sandbox data and Postman collections with no support request. Webhooks are configurable in the portal. The API carries EagleView's aerial measurements and property data into your own tools; the page does not state production pricing or rate limits.
- 04Roofr, Leap, Housecall Pro or whatever you run: each has its own route in. We read your account's own access first.
- JobNimbusKey from Settings, API; bearer token; access profile
- AccuLynxAdmin generates a key per location; RateLimit headers
- EagleViewSelf-serve developer account; sandbox; webhooks
- Your accountLocations, boards and profiles confirmed in the audit
Every door here opens from your own settings. The build is judged in the storm week after.
The integrations roofers ask for
Once the key exists, the requests take a few shapes whichever system you run. Each is designed for the surge first and the quiet week second.
- 01Storm-week intake: your AI phone line answers, finds the existing homeowner or creates one, opens the job with the carrier, policy number, adjuster and deadline captured on call one, and books a real inspection slot.
- 02Supplement tracking: a watched checklist on the job that nudges whoever is holding up the supplement documents, with every step written back as a note rather than a silent field change.
- 03Measurements on the job: an EagleView report ordered from the job record and the measurements attached when the webhook fires, so the estimator opens one screen.
- 04Speed-to-lead: a new lead texted within minutes and placed on a callback list each morning, with the outcome logged against the contact in your CRM.

Related questions
01Does JobNimbus have an API?+
Yes. JobNimbus publishes an open API with keys you create under Settings, API, each tied to an access profile. The key is sent as a bearer token and the docs are on Postman. JobNimbus describes it as the route for integrations its catalogue does not already cover.
02Does AccuLynx have an API, and who can turn it on?+
AccuLynx publishes an Advanced API covering all of its endpoints. A user with admin rights generates the key, and each location needs its own key. Jobs and contacts are read and write; estimates, leads and users are read-only; webhooks cover job, contact, invoice and milestone events.
03Is EagleView's API self-serve?+
Yes, at the developer stage. You create an account at developer.eagleview.com, generate credentials, and work against sandbox data and Postman collections without a support ticket. Production use is agreed with EagleView, and the portal page does not publish pricing or rate limits.
04Is Zapier enough for a roofing CRM integration?+
For a one-way sync, such as a web lead landing in JobNimbus, yes. It stops being enough when the write-back has to find the existing homeowner, split by location key, or hold writes in a queue when the API throttles during a storm week.
05What does Hashlogics actually do on a roofing software integration?+
We start from each vendor's documented access model, as set out on this page, then read what your account, locations and access profiles expose during the audit. The build is scoped from that and designed for the storm week, with a named engineer keeping it running after launch.
