KiwiWrite Math is assistive software for students who understand the math but struggle to write it. Dysgraphia, dyslexia, autism, and fine-motor challenges can make pencil work the hardest part of an assignment. Hashlogics helped build the web app that removes that barrier. Students click or tap numbers, fractions, and symbols into place, right on their school's own worksheets.

The challenge

Students with dysgraphia or fine-motor trouble could do the math but not write it legibly.

Plain text editors fall apart on vertical arithmetic, fractions, exponents, and roots.

Students still had to complete the same worksheets as their classmates, not a separate curriculum.

Schools would only adopt a tool that fit the Google Classroom workflow they already ran.

What success needed to look like

  • Let students complete math without handwriting becoming the bottleneck.
  • Keep advanced notation simple enough for a child to use alone.
  • Support work directly on imported PDFs and worksheet images.
  • Make saving, exporting, and turning in work easy for students and teachers.
Our approach

How we delivered it.

    Diagnose

    Focused the product on the real problem: writing and arranging math, not teaching it. That one call shaped every screen after it.

  2. 02

    Design

    Built the interface around four keyboard levels, so a second-grader never stares at calculus symbols they don't need yet.

  3. 03

    Build

    Developed the browser workspace: equation entry, grid alignment, text and drawing tools, worksheet markup, and files.

  4. 04

    Launch

    Wired in Google Classroom and Google Drive. Students open their assignments and hand back finished work in tools the school already uses.

  5. 05

    Run

    Grew the platform toward higher-level math and per-user access settings as more students joined.

The solution

What we built.

KiwiWrite turns a computer or tablet into a digital math workspace. A student picks the keyboard level that fits the assignment. They place numbers and symbols the way they would on paper and solve in place. A worksheet comes in as an image or PDF, so answers land right on the original. Finished work exports as PDF or JPG, or goes back through the classroom workflow.

The takeaway

The hard part was not building another equation editor. It was making math writing simple enough that the software never becomes a second obstacle. KiwiWrite keeps the mechanics in the background so students spend their attention on the math itself.
