Overview

Firms that work across US states face a hard question: can you prove each engineer's license status, in every state you work in? The facts sit with separate state boards. Renewal dates differ and formats vary, so teams live in spreadsheets, reminders, and screenshots. VeriEng turns that mess into clean, dated records. Hashlogics built it.

The challenge

The problem we set out to solve.

01

One engineer can hold several licenses, each with its own number, field, status, expiry date, and state format.

02

A manual lookup answers today's question but leaves no record of what was shown, where, or when.

03

Teams needed early warning on expiring licenses before they became staffing or client risks.

04

Repeating board checks one by one across a growing workforce kept breaking down.

What success needed to look like

  • Keep several state licenses under one engineer profile.
  • Capture public license status with a source and a timestamp.
  • Track renewals and expiry risk in one place.
  • Load a whole workforce by CSV and run bulk status checks.
  • Give firms role-based access and org-level controls.
  • Produce shareable summaries and audit-ready reports.
Our approach

How we delivered it.

  1. 01

    Structure

Treated licenses as regulated records, not profile fields: engineer, state, discipline, status, capture date, monitoring, evidence.

  2. 02

    Design

Split what a single engineer needs from what a compliance team needs, on top of one shared record.

  3. 03

    Build

Developed the workspace: license records, workforce management, monitoring, alerts, sharing, and reports.

  4. 04

    Automate

Built renewal and monitoring flows that bring exceptions to the user, so nobody re-searches every record.

  5. 05

    Evidence

Anchored every action to its trace: what was recorded, where it came from, when, and what watching exists.

The solution

What we built.

VeriEng gives regulated engineering teams one compliance layer across every state they work in. For one engineer, it's a central license profile: every state license in one place, renewals tracked, and a report ready to share when a client or employer asks. For firms, it's a workforce dashboard: engineers loaded in bulk, status checks kicked off, coming expiries flagged, and audit-ready records exported on demand.

State-specific license fields and status records
A source, capture date, and timestamp on every record
Bulk workforce upload and batch status checks
A compliance dashboard across states
Renewal, expiry, and rule-change alerts
Shareable compliance summaries and audit-ready reports
Role-based access with audit logs
Encrypted hosting

Results & impact

One workflow instead of scattered lookups.

Instead of scattered spreadsheets, reminders, screenshots, and board lookups, firms keep license evidence on each engineer and see renewal risk across the whole team from one place. The result: a clearer view, better history, far less manual record keeping. One boundary matters, and the product says it plainly. VeriEng records license status as shown by the state board; it does not issue or certify licenses.

The takeaway

The hard part of license compliance isn't storing a number. It's keeping reliable evidence across people, states, renewal cycles, and repeat checks, so a firm can show what's on file, what needs attention, and what proof exists when someone asks.
