How many extras never reach an invoice?
Three inputs from your own routes. A yearly figure for the work you did but never billed. No email required.
What you get
4 things that decide this
- 01A yearly estimate of revenue from extra lifts and services that never got billed.
- 02A per-truck view, so you can see whether leakage tracks routes or paperwork.
- 03It will not audit your books. It shows the size of the gap between work done and work billed.
- 04Every input is yours. No industry benchmark is claimed, because none would fit your routes.
How it works
The Unbilled Lift Calculator takes three inputs: trucks on the road, extras your drivers notice each week versus extras that get billed, and your average extra-service fee. The gap between noticed and billed is the leak.
The pattern is familiar to most operators. A driver empties an overloaded container, radios it in, and the note dies on a route sheet. Billing never hears about it. Hauler software vendors built whole products around this gap, and your dispatcher can confirm it in one conversation.
The output is one sentence from your own numbers: roughly what a year of unbilled extras is worth. If drivers log everything and billing sees it all, your number is near zero, and that is a genuine pass.
- ServiceThe extra lift happens
- Route sheetA scribbled note, maybe
- OfficeThe note is not keyed in
- InvoiceThe base rate goes out alone
The work was real. The record never made it to billing.

Questions, answered
01Why are there no preset defaults?+
Because leakage varies too much between operations to claim a benchmark honestly. Your drivers and your dispatcher hold the real numbers, and the calculator asks for those.
02We run hauler software already. Is this pointless?+
No. Software only bills what gets captured at the truck. If drivers still call extras in by radio, the gap survives the software. The calculator measures capture, not tooling.
03Is anything stored?+
No. No email, no saved data.
